Fresh food and large portions. Staff weren’t too talkative but maybe they weren’t sure of our Canadian accent ;0)Place was clean - wasn’t busy when we were there and there is a pub attached if you wish to sit on that side. We had the BLT, seafood chowder, chicken wrap and turkey sandwich. All were tasty

Fries, dressing and gravy along with coleslaw was great quality and delicious! Portion and price was very good. Mt husband ordered chicken wings and expressed satisfaction.Service was excellent, very attentive and friendly.Restaurant had a local, nautical theme and was spacious and clean and had many eat in booths which made it comfortable. Also offers table and chairs.Restaurant is wheelchair accessible. I do not recommend for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free or other special diets.

The food, environment,prices, portion all amazing. The service is very hearty and welcoming. The fish was fresh and not soaked in oil. Absolutely delicious.

At The Jigger hubby ordered a seafood chowder that he said was THE BEST he's found anywhere in Newfoundland. We also ordered fish and chips which were really good.I gave atmosphere a 3 star bc the AC was too cold in the restaurant.Everything else was great, server was friendly and so were all the staff.

One of those hidden gems. Some of the best chowder I've ever had, some of the best fish and chips I've ever had too. Top notch meal. The atmosphere is a bit lackluster, but that's not why you come here. You come to get your fill of warm hearty soul food.

Had an awesome time at the squid jigger. The food was amazing, fish and chips were the best I had in a long time. The only reason I took away a star on the service was we didn't get the onion rings we ordered for an appetizer, which was ok because we did receive some awesome nachos before the main meal. Portions were large and great. Would highly recommend trying out this gem in Bay Bulls. Even though it was Mother's Day and had to walk away from a couple of other restaurants because we didn't have reservations, we walked in and were able to sit our party of six. Great job, squid jigger. We will be back.
